Structure
Like most swim clubs, Killerwhales is run by a voluntary Committee. The Committee is led by a Club Executive comprised of Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Further Committee Members are usually parents of swimmers or ex-swimmers who bring with them a wealth of experience from their varied professional backgrounds.
Meetings
The Club Committee usually meets monthly and an Annual General Meeting is held in May or June to which all parents are invited.
CHAIRMAN
The chairman's primary role is to ensure that the board is effective in its task of setting and implementing the company's direction and strategy.
CLUB SECRETARY
To ensure the smooth running of club’s administrative requirements.
COMPETITIONS SECRETARY
To co-ordinate the competition calendar and manage gala entries.
SWIM MARK CO-ORDINATOR
Every other year the club are required to submit and provide swim England’s governing body relevant documentations to ensure the club gets its accreditation. If you are interested in this position please contact the Club Secretary.
JACK PETCHY CO-ORDINATOR
To co-ordinate activities relating to the Jack Petchey Awards.
PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
To promote and publicise all information about the club.
LTS ADMINISTRATOR (Non-Committee Role)
To manage learn to swim administration.
TREASURER
To produce and manage club accounts and monitor finances.
HEAD COACH
Darren has been the head coach of Killerwhales Swim Club since summer 2014. His responsibility is to manage and oversee all elements of the swimming programme.
MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY
To overseas all new members and to provide access and to oversee the management of club organiser.
WELFARE OFFICER
Responsible for the implementation of good practice and child protection policies.
OFFICIAL'S CO-ORDINATORS
To co-ordinate and recruit officials for the club.
HEAD OF FUNDRAISING
This position is still vacant, however during 2019 we have had several parents that have taken a keen interest in helping and overseeing several fundraising events and we would welcome as much help as possible. Please contact the Club Secretary should you want to get more involved in this position.
CLUB SHOP CO-ORDINATOR
(Non-Committee Role)
To oversee the running of all club merchandise.
