NextGen Aquatics GB Championships and Swim England GoCardless National Summer Championship - July/August 2026

Killerwhales Swim Club enjoyed one of the most successful periods in its history as nine of

its swimmers competed at the NextGen Aquatics GB Championships and the Swim England

GoCardless National Summer Championships.

Representing Killerwhales were Alanna H, Emily S, Joshua K, Kai B, Kai O-CB, Poppy J, Sean

M, Shane G and Stanley P.

The Killerwhales squad rose to the occasion, producing outstanding performances against

Britain's elite swimmers. Across the championships, the team reached numerous finals,

recorded a host of personal best times and returned home with an impressive medal haul.

Alanna H delivered two exceptional performances to claim bronze medals in both the 50m

and 200m backstroke events.

Kai B enjoyed a fantastic championships, winning bronze in the SB8 MC 100m breaststroke

while once again breaking the British Para-Swimming long-course record in the event. He

continued his outstanding form by producing a sensational swim to secure the gold medal in

the MC 100m freestyle.

Sean M also impressed, earning a bronze medal in the highly competitive 200m individual

medley.

Poppy J capped off an excellent season by qualifying not only for the British National

Championships swimming the 1500m freestyle, but also for the Open Water National Age

Group Championships. She completed the demanding 7.5km race to finish 10th in her age

group.

The club is immensely proud of every swimmer who represented Killerwhales with

distinction. Their dedication, hard work and commitment throughout the season have

resulted in one of the most successful National Championship campaigns in the club's

history, providing an inspiring platform for future success.
