Killerwhales Swimming Club Euros Sprint Gala

More than 80 squad members competed in a fantastic afternoon of swimming at the Killerwhales’ Euros Sprint end of season gala.

From swimmers aged 8 to 18, everyone competed with great enthusiasm.  As expected, the gala was filled with outstanding performances. 


In the 9 year age group, Matthias N celebrated a hat-trick of gold medals in the 50 breast, 50 free and 100 free, with Nancy F taking gold for the 50 free, 200 free and 100 back.  Claudia A, Darcey B, Olivia M and Phoebe G also took home a trio of medals.


In the 10/11 age group, Shane G won gold in the 50 back, 100 back, 100 fly and 100 free, with William F taking gold in the 50 fly, 50 free, 200 free and 200 IM, proving themselves as ones to watch for the future!  Dhruv C, Fletcher W, Kaleb M, Lucas S, Malakai N and Oakley S showed great determination picking up medals for their races.


The girls also showed their competitive side in this age group, with Freya B claiming gold in the 50 breast and Ellie R taking gold in the 100 free and 50 fly.  Alice J, Isabella D, Jessica F, Livvy T, Molly M and Sienna W secured podium medals.

Barlow AK, Jack P, Joshua K and Sean M impressed in the 12/13 age group, taking gold in their races.  Ciaran M, Kevin B and Nicholas L also secured medals.  The girls excelled with Alanna H, Emily S, Maisy J and Tamlyn F bagging gold medals.  Daniella M, Deea T, Harriet H and Katie P took away silver and bronze medals in this tough age group.


Swimmers in the 14/15 age group carried on the great spirit with Jack F securing gold in the 200 free, Lewis H and Stanley P taking gold for all their races.  Kavith T, Luca BG, Max P, Orly M, Aleksija K, Anabelle S, Millie M, Olive J and Sophie B showed great determination obtaining podium spots for their races.


Our older swimmers in the 16+ age group, showed great prowess, with Zain K claiming a gold hat-trick for his races, and Ethan J securing gold and silver in the freestyle and fly.  The gold rush continued with Eleni C and Poppy J picking up gold medals in their races.
